Give me your first hand experience with Sileather.

I think their marine product is called Capri, or perhaps Chilltech. I found it at fasseco.com. For me, it sounds like [Sileather or Capri or Chilltech] is superior to vinyl.

My local upholstery shops have never heard of [Sileather or Capri or Chilltech].

I'd want to find a shop that could build and ship replacement cushions for my 1984 Montauk 17.

A local upholstery shop should be able to use a high quality vinyl to recover your existing cushions. If the cushioning material is degraded they could use a quality material to replace it.

What is the attraction of the product you want to use?

Go to fasseco.com. Check out the Rasor video. His recommendations have cred in my book.

I think the thread originator has already visited that website.

It's a fancy website and advertises the business well. But, like an old Wendy's commercial asks, "Where's the meat".
