Sadly I couldn’t take Tom & Kate Whalering as I sold my 1990 Boston Whaler Revenge 22 – W.T. several weeks ago. But I could take them fishing aboard the 1989 Wilbur 34, The Wilbur.
They were up visiting Juneau, Alaska with Tom’s nephew and after touring the town for several days it was time to fish. On a foggy, drizzly morning we headed 9 nmi. SE down Gastineau Channel to Point Salisbury and started trolling. Nothing until the tide changed, then four fish in about 90 minutes. Tom got the big ones (33 inches), so he volunteered to fillet them all. Much appreciated!
A fun boating day.

Re: Fishing with Tom W. and Kate
I would have assumed Tom was a sour curmudgeon based on some of his posts, but I'm happy to see him smile.

Thanks for the pictures. Tom's a great guy.
When we lived in the Seattle area, he helped us out on many Boston Whaler related questions and parts, from fuel tanks to RPS seats/parts to wiring to woodworking. When my son and I restored a 1967 Sakonnet, Tom was the first to see it done. One of the finest and most knowledgeable Boston Whaler people I've ever met.

Looks like you guys had fun and it's great to have a guest/crew that can clean a fish.

NICE FISH!!! It's great to see a boat being used correctly for it's intended purpose- fishing!
