Can Power Pole be removed temporarily?

Postby mcmahojo » Mon Feb 26, 2018 9:11 am

I am looking at used 240 Dauntless that has a Power Pole, which is a plus. But, when it's time for watersports can the pole be removed so that it doesn't interfere with the tow line?

Thanks in advance.

A power pole anchor is normally fastened for no removal, bur maybe you can figure a custom top hinge d like mount and bottom with a pin, so you can lay it horizontal for water sports.
You said it is a plus, I don't know if it is. If you want to use the boat for fishing and water sports I would give up the Power Pole and use a solid stick you can tie off when you want to stay put in shallow water.
