1970 13-footer Bow Hatch Cover

I just bought a 1970 13-footer--love it. The cockpit is classic blue with mahogany. The wood is decent, except for the bow hatch cover. It’s got a bubble on the surface of the wood. I might be able to sand it off and just take a layer off the top.

[Is there a source for a replacement bow hatch cover] for a c.1970 13-footer?

I don't know if that piece is available or not. I have a 1972 13' and that front hatch cover is plywood with mahagony veneer. If I was going to replace it I would go to a specialty hardwood dealer and buy solid mahogany or sapelle.

For advice on recommended vendors for replacement parts, see the article in the REFERENCE section:

I suggest attempting to refinish the hatch you have now before investing in a replacement.
