SUPER SPORT 15 Boat Lift Set-up

Postby Fishteeth » Sat Sep 07, 2019 9:13 am

I am acquiring a 1990 15' Super Sport. It will be kept in a boat house on a lift. The lift has two runners that lift the boat out of the water. The runners are like those on a trailer. I want to adjust the runners to fit the Whaler ideally. I've tried to find the ideal the width and configuration for such a thing, but I can't find any info online. Can anyone help me with this?

When you get your Whaler, a location to start measuring for separating the lifting bunks would be the width from outside of the transom splashwell drain holes and across to the inside of the lifting eyes on each side. That should get it.

Look at some pictures of the 15' classic transom in the reference area for an idea where I am suggesting to measure. Someone will be along to tell you the width of their trailer bunks.

Do you have a bunk trailer? If so you can use that as a starting point. It might take a couple adjustments to get the right clearance.
On my 24th Whaler. Currently in the stable: 86 18' Outrage, 81 13' Sport(original owner), 87 11' Sport, 69 Squall(for sale cheap).

The 1990 Super Sport 15 is arriving tomorrow on a trailer, so I will start [the boat lift set up based on the trailer set up]. Thank you.
