I messed up the other day: I attached a towing line for a tube to my ski pole and the result was a disaster In my defence it was the first time tubing. The ski pole support rail and the ski pole were bent, and the screws were ripped out of the hull while doing so.

I am begging for anybody's help that owns or has access to a 1995 to 1997 DAUNTLESS 17 DC. The same part is also used in a 1999 Ventura 20 and and a Outrage 17. The Boston Whaler part number is 1035047 Mount, table motorwell, Tampco Inc.

Please tell me under what angle the tube "leaves" the two aft support pillars. I don't think it is quite 45 degrees. Also tell me the length of the tube from the bend up to the square support bar that is welded on the back side of the tube to support the rod and ski pole holder. This information would really be a great help.

While you repair the rail, you can pull a tube using the stern eyes on the outside of the transom. They are more than strong enough.
