Use of Polyester Resin in Boston Whaler Boats.

Where in the process of building a Boston Whaler boat is polyester resin used?
ASIDE: I know where the gel coat, fiberglass, and foam are used.

Gel coat is polyester resin with color pigment added.
The resin that binds the fiber glass together and to the gelcoat is polyester resin.

The hull, the liner, and all molded components of Boston Whaler boats are laid up in female contact molds with polyester resin.
Polyester resins are used to laminated the cloth layers.
The gel coat resin is also a polyester resin.
