Fuel tax rebate for boaters

Postby dtmackey » Thu May 13, 2021 1:35 pm

Rebate of excise tax for fuel burned in your boat. Not all states offer this, but some do and I learned I can file for a $0.24/gallon rebate. More info my state at this site.

We have this in Delaware. So far it has been a 'groundhog day' of trying to get anywhere with the state for the refund.
Thanks,

Difficult to justify a rebate on fuel not bought at a marina with a receipt for evidence. I am guessing that close to 100% of trailer boaters purchase their fuel at gas stations. That is our normal practice although we only purchase "Rec 90" ethanol free gasoline. We also use Rec 90 in our generator set and all motorized garden equipment.

It's always worth a try.
