APPRAISAL: 1984 Montauk 19 E-TEC 90 and Trailer

Postby cinegamma » Mon Jul 04, 2022 6:26 pm

What is a reasonable price for a 1984 Montauk [17] with a 2008 E-TEC 90-HP engine and Karavan galvanized trailer. It’s in really nice shape and everything is fully functional.

The boat is located in north Alabama, there is no bottom paint. It's stored inside, and hasn't really been used more than once a year for the entire time I've owned the boat. It has been used in saltwater a few times (vacation trips to Florida panhandle) and was always flushed the product Salt-Away. It has 22 gallon Moeller topside tank under the seat. Still has the factory Mills canvas top. The boat was re-powered in 2009 with a new 2007 E-TEC 90 that the dealer still had in inventory. It runs and operates great.

You're in Alabama so the market may be different in your region. Up here in New England in this market, I'd say $17,000. I'm seeing old, beat-up Boston Whaler boats transact north of $10,000.
