Q2: what brands of hold-down straps for on-deck fuel tanks are available that are successful?
ASIDE: I am restoring a 1975 Montauk 17. I need to improve the hold down straps for the original, twin, steel, on-deck fuel tanks.
ASIDE: I have modified the seat with hinges so that it is no longer necessary to slide out the fuel tanks to refill them.

Boston Whaler supplied custom KEVLOK straps with their battery boxes. Similar straps would be similarly excellent to hold on-deck fuel tanks in place. More information about the KEVLOK straps is available in a prior discussion, see
