Leak at Rigging Grommet

Postby allisbob » Thu Oct 27, 2022 7:16 pm

[Asked for help in identifying a component on a 200 DAUNTLESS of unspecified model year that turned out to be a rigging grommet that was leaking an orange-reddish liquid.]

That is a rigging grommet.

Have you shined a light into the space to see what is in there?

I need to get a sense of where this is. Sidewall? Floor?

What is the substance? Water, oil? Sticky?

Thank you for your help. I was able to fix [the leak at the rigging grommet but did not explain how this was accomplished or what the source of the leak was or what liquid was leaking].
