Leak at Rigging Grommet

[Asked for help in identifying a component on a 200 DAUNTLESS of unspecified model year that turned out to be a rigging grommet that was leaking an orange-reddish liquid.]

That is a rigging grommet.
Have you shined a light into the space to see what is in there?
I need to get a sense of where this is. Sidewall? Floor?
What is the substance? Water, oil? Sticky?

Thank you for your help. I was able to fix [the leak at the rigging grommet but did not explain how this was accomplished or what the source of the leak was or what liquid was leaking].

Please give more explanation about what remedy was used to fix the leak.
Please describe what liquid was leaking.
Please describe the source of the liquid that was leaking from the rigging grommet.
Please give the full model description of the boat including the model year.
