Appraisal 1967 13 custom dual console

Postby @wh@ler1000 » Sun Apr 27, 2025 3:04 am

Suggest a selling price for my custom 1967 13-footer.

The hull has been sanded down to fiberglass and repainted. I spent every penny on this fun project.

The interior is made out of African Mahogany. I replicated the 13 Super Sport Limited dual console setup.

The boat has loudspeakers, GPS, storage under each bench, big storage behind helm bench, swim deck, upholstery, dual battery (lithium for house and another smaller lithium for cranking the motor), lighting, and more.

The engine is a 2019 Yamaha F40 with around 120-hours. The steering is mechanical cable.

The trailer was new in 2024.

The workmanship is excellent. To realize the most value you must find a buyer who wants exactly this sort of jazzed-up 13-footer. The typical buyer of a 1967 SPORT 13 won’t be willing to pay a big premium for all the additions. Most 13-footers are more basic, and are used by younger boaters, or as tenders or utility boats, and have an open cockpit style.

Your 13 looks very attractive, especially for just enjoying time on the water. It's virtually useless as a fishing boat or for water sports such as skiing. The new trailer and late model engine add value. As Jim said, the right buyer may be willing to pay a premium but be prepared to wait for a while.

Just as a guess I think the boat could bring $10,000 for that right person who can see the value. Otherwise $7,000 may be a reasonable offer. I'm guessing the boat is in California which could mean a better price.
