This 1987 MONTAUK 17 has always been stored indoors. In 2023 a complete restoration was made using:
- Spectrum Desert Tan gel coat on the hull exterior and center console
- decals from Magic Brush
- new seat cushions for RPS and cooler from Anderson Mfg & Uphosterly
- teak was refinished with Sikkens CETOL Marine Natural Teak Finish
- seven coats of CETOL Marine Varnish
- original stainless steel railings
- Specialty Marine rod holders
- new Bimini top
- new Moeller 26-gallon fuell tank
- GARMIN Echomap UHD 74SC Chart plotter and SONAR
- ICOM VHF Marine Band radio
- Shakespeare 8500 Antenna
The 2023 Yamaha F70 engine has 27.5 hours run time; the 20 hour service was performed in May 2025. The propeller is stainless steel.
The Sportsman Trailer has been rebuilt with new
- winch
- jack
- spare tire mount
- axle
- hubs
- wheels from McClain Trailers.
