The time has come to sell our beloved 1968 Whaler, as we just don't have a use for it any longer having purchased another boat. We are the second owners, having purchased from my grandparent's neighbor in WI in1986. The boat has never seen saltwater and is in near original condition, always garaged when not in use and professionally maintained when needed.
Here is a list of some things that have been repaired or addressed in the past 5 years:
New Karavan galvanized trailer in 2018
New front seats and captains bench rebuilt and upholstered in 2019 and 2021 respectively
New OEM canvas windshield and mooring cover 2019
Rub rail replaced in 2018
It is powered by a 1992 (?) 75 hp Mercury 2-stroke. Runs as it should
It does have an older (1990's) Lowrance depth finder that works just fine, just not very high tech.
I do have the original Richie compass. Unfortunately, it cracked a few years ago in the winter, but I'm sure it could be repaired.
Asking $13,500 and is located in Stowe, VT.
This boat is an amazing time capsule that is terrific as-is, or would make for an easy restoration if one were so inclined.
