Q1: is Is the box that fits in the glove box recess on a 2012 130 SUPERSPORT a Boston Whaler part or a consumer-off-the shelf part [made by another manufacturer]?
Q2: how can the glove box on a 2012 130 SUPER SPORT be improved?
I think Boston Whaler ditched the glove box recess on the 130 SUPER SPORT for the forward-of-the-helm waterproof box after a few years.

Re: 2012 130 SUPER SPORT Glove Box Case
I very much doubt that Boston Whaler is the original manufacturer of the clear plastic box seen in Figure 1. It would be extraordinarily weird for Boston Whaler to fabricate a box like that instead of just buying a consumer-of-the-shelf box from a vendor whose business is making plastic boxes.interseller wrote:Q1: is Is the box that fits in the glove box recess on a 2012 130 SUPERSPORT a Boston Whaler part or a consumer-off-the shelf part [made by another manufacturer]?
In evidence of that supposition, I recommend you look more closely at your photograph. Here is a detail from the original:
On the basis of the photograph you supplied, I believe the plastic case was made by PELICAN and is model designator 1060 and belongs to their Micro Case Series.
In case of any doubt [hey, pun was intentional], compare with the plastic case shown at the PELICAN website as their model 1060:

Considering the box retails for $47, I think the only improvement would be to lower the price.interseller wrote:Q2: how can the glove box on a 2012 130 SUPER SPORT be improved?
