Q1: where can the trim piece for the fuel line [where it enters the rigging tunnel on a 1979 not 79-feet] MONTAUK 17 [and appears identical to the hawse pipe trim used on many Boston Whaler gunwales for access to the stern cleats mounted on the inwales] be purchased?

That trim piece is known as a hawse pipe. There are quite a few aftermarket hawse pipes made in different sizes available. If no one on the forum has a part number for that exact one, I would just start searching hawse pipe and see if you can find one that is the same size and maybe has the same hole spacing.

What is wrong with the original? You can probably clean that up to look like new in ten minutes.
