I plan to add a trolling motor to my new-from-the-dealer 2023 150 MONTAUK, which already has the trolling package option that includes a battery box, pre-wiring, a reinforced mounting plate in bow, and bow [electrical] outlets.
I primarily will use the for pleasure riding and fishing. I plan to install a MinnKota [trolling motor] with GNSS lock and 55-lbs thrust rating
Give me advice on how I should mount the MinnKota trolling motor on a 150 MONTAUK.
Q1: will having a MinnKota trolling motor on the bow create awkward use [of something]?
Q2: will the MinnKota trolling motor get in the way [of something]?
Q3: are there plugs or patches that can be placed to conceal the location of holes drilled in the boat deck??
I have found information about hole repair and sealing, but would prefer to not see holes in the deck in the event I ever decide to remove the trolling motor.
