Give me advice about the wood care for four primary wood components on my 1972 NAUSET 16 as listed below:

The lower section of the original NAUSET wooden center console was replaced c.2018 with marine plywood and given a polyurethane finish. The upper portion has been maintained with Epiphanes [varnish] recoating every two to three years. It is now showing a variety of wear. This is the wooden component about which I have the most concern, as it is the “crown jewel” of the NAUSET and contains lots of veneer.

The original, vintage, small, forward hatch cover is now waterlogged from living under an authentic parchment-color bow cushion.

In c.2016 I installed a "NEWPORT" style reversible pilot seat. Its wooden frame initially appeared very neutral and almost composite. It now shows normal wear and has never been re-finished.

In 2023 I bought an aft bench seat from Bob Latourelle in Haverhill, Massachusetts. Bob made a 5/4-inch slatted bench seat that does not require a leg or vertical support—an improvement and simplification of the EASTPORT design. This component is not showIng any visible signs of wear, and it has never been refinished.

While not unique to a 1972 NAUSET 16, there is in the REFERENCE section a good general article about wood care. See
