OUTRAGE 25 Whaler Drive Set-up for Tubing

What is the best way to set up the Outrage 25 Whaler Drive for occasional tubing? The boat has twin engines and is mostly used for fishing but occasionally my kids would like to tube. Thanks--Stephen

Best way is the Turboswing. The tube part comes on and off quickly with a couple of clips, leaving just a couple of brackets mounted to the engine brackets. You may find you leave the tube part on all the time as I do - it gives you a good way to keep lines away from the engines.

With twin engines, if you try to use the tow eyes it does not work very well - at least that was my experience on my Outrage 25 with twins.

You could always try a bridle off the tow eyes - use a long bridle and see how it works. But I suspect it won't do well. However, the Turboswing in the twin size is expensive (probably close to $1000 shipped) while you can make up a test bridle for <$50.

Thanks. I will try a test bridle. $1k is too much for a handful of tubing each year.

With a boat that size, for occasional tubing, no need for a bridle at all - just tie the towline to one of the stern eyes.

For occassional use in towing for water sports, use a towing eye on the transom of the Whaler Drive.

Typically the Whaler Drive boats did not come with any towing eyes, so you probably will have to add them.

A Whaler Drive boat is probably the worst model for making wakes. The buoyancy of the Whaler Drive keeps the stern from digging in.
