Nauset wet hull weight

I accurately weighed the bare hull of my 1966 Nauset (hull 35190) and found it to be 700-lbs or 200-lbs pounds over specification. The boat floats high. I'm completing a 100-percent, detailed, and comprehensive restoration, regardless. New paint, new barrier coat, new varnish, new rub rail, new electronics and rigging. Minor water did drip from several holes I drilled for testing. I'll use for an in-harbor tender.

Why do you think at 700-lbs [the weight of your boat hull is] 200-lbs high? in 1999 the hull was listed at 850-lbs. Even the 15 footer was listed at 500-lbs.

I have the 1966 sales literature that says the bare hull is 500-lbs.

The early years of production boats had much variation due to the new design and each boat was hand made. The foaming process was done manually.
The real question is where does the boat sit in the water? Is the water line below or at the thru hulls? If so, you are good to go. If not, compensate by moving weight forward.
Most people consider the Nauset to weigh ~600 lbs.

The restoration is complete and could not been done as well without this site! At least 80 hours on the hull and another 40 to strip the wood and apply 10 coats of finish!

Oh no! - the decal is on backward! - For the purist note that the windshield was modified to tilt aft, not forward. Perhaps the backward decal is fitting. Good thing I can change it or live with it.

What would be a "fair" price to sell this [1966 Nauset hull 35190]?
I have never wanted anything but "fair" regardless of man-hours. As a home restoration contractor I have "fixed up and sold" in order to get to the next lifestyle pleasing project. I had the boat moving from garage to garage for 25 years and hope the next purchase will turn faster. It was fun and I have the bug to try another.
