Do the various manufacturers have "stock" colors that are a close match? Is the inside and outside the same - I can't tell?

First thing. It is gelcoat. Not paint.

Given the gelcoat is 44 years, the factory color would not match. Spectrum sells Whaler colors but may be off due to age. Adding tint will get you within 98%. It takes a bit of skill.

I recall the 1973 was Desert tan but would prefer someone confirm this before buying several hundred dollars in gelcoat.

I will be doing 100% inside/out so exact match not important. Good point perhaps I try spraying gelcoat this time/this boat rather than 2 part poly. . Any stock "colors" that ate close, for example Interlux, Epiphanies, etc. I'm sure there is a link somewhere on this site, I just can't find it. Thanks again.
