Hi Folks,

New to the forum and new to BW.

Purchased a 2005 Outrage 240 earlier this year, and love the boat. I want to put a windlass on it. The BW mfg parts list I found on line shows a Windlass RP/CHN Marlini LO-PRO 12V 700W. Google searching I found similar looking units but all were pretty costly.

Has any tried the Lewmar V700, it seems like a good match for the Out240, and a lot more affordable.

I have a Lewmar Profish 700 on my 23 Walkaround, works well. This is a horizontal unit that is mounted on the anchor hatch and does not protrude into the anchor locker. I ended up screwing down the anchor hatch securely and cut an inspection hatch inside the cabin to access the anchor locker. Worked well for black fishing season.
