1974 Montauk 17 Restoration

My process [to restore a 1974 Montauk 17] is in action; I am:
—patching the floor holes where needed
—laying fiberglass on the deck edges where the deck soft and cracked
—filling in the small voids with spray foam.
Should I fair the entire deck with a resin and additive to smooth it all out before primer, paint, and non-skid?
Or, will the non-skid hide the unevenness?
