I have the original [combined sidelight navigation lamp] on my [1991] Outrage 17. The lamp housing is in great shape. The electrical wiring is good. The inside and the [light bulb socket] have failed.
[Can the inside and the light bulb socket] be replaced? Many thanks.

I suspect that "the inside" means the red and green lens.
Contact a knowledgeable Boston Whaler dealer parts department to inquire if the red-green lens and the light bulb socket from the combined sidelight lamp fixture for your 1991 Boston OUTRAGE 17 can be purchased as repair parts.

The lightbulb socket is probably a standard bayonet mount miniature light bulb socket, and you can often find these as replacement parts from many vendors, not just from a Boston Whaler dealer.
If "the inside" means the red-green lens, you may be able to restore the lens. Some plastics tend to become hazy and foggy over time. These plastics can be restored by careful cleaning and polishing. Automotive stores often sell plastic polishing compounds.

Thank you. The lenses are both in good shape. The part that is broken is the light [bulb socket] assembly that is connected to the wiring. Many thanks.

John -
Can you shoot a photo of yours light base? I don't think the one Archie linked to is accurate.
If not, I could disassemble mine and take one.
Let me know. :-)
