The GUARDIAN 22 hull is similar to the more common OUTRAGE 22 hull, but the GUARDIAN 22 will be heavier.
Many find that mounting an engine at one-hole-up or two-holes-up will work very well with modern propellers that can tolerate higher engine mounting heights.
Without having a clear description of the present engine mounting height on your GUARDIAN 22, recommendations for a relative change of engine mounting height do not make much sense.

- the propeller design and how well it can run in airy water or with blade tips out of the water
- the water conditions normally encountered, that is calm water or rough water
- the desire to sacrifice other handling characteristics in order to obtain maximum possible top speed operation in calm water
- the shape of the bullet on the gear case
- the hull design and weight distribution on the hull which will affect the stability of the hull on plane and eliminate oscillating of the bow on plane (called porpoising).
