16-footer: Volume of Paint Needed for Interior: Tips for Applying AWLGRIP

Postby cregan13 » Wed Apr 21, 2021 5:12 am

I am painting the [interior of] of a classic 16-footer with AWLGRIP using the rolling and brushing technique. How much AWLGRIP paint will be needed?

I am hoping two quarts will be sufficient.

The [interior of the 16-footer] already has two coats of AWLQUICK [quick-drying primer and surfacer paint] and a coat of [AWLGRIP] 545 [primer paint]. I was shocked by how much [AWLGRIP] 545 [primer paint] was necessary to cover the interior of [the 16-footer].

I am worried that the two quarts of [AWLGRIP] paint I bought are not going to be enough.

Also, give me any tips [for applying AWLGRIP paint by] rolling. On this [16-foot classic hull] there are lost of places where angles and curves will make it tough to keep the paint smooth and have a wet edge.

Thanks.
