Does anyone know where to purchase a replacement of the factory fuel tank for a 1999 Dauntless 14.

The factory tank was a Moeller 25 gallon "belly tank" that was below the deck, I cant seem to find a tank like it online.

The reason I want an exact shape and size replacement is for ease of service and inspection.

The new tanks I see are a rectangular shape, my original tank is a rectangle with about a 15" long by 12" wide protrusion at the back of the tank that goes toward the stern of the boat and is where the sending unit, fill hose, and hose to the motor are located, and that extension allows them to extend further toward the transom to be accessible via the pie plate in the transom's splash well.

I believe it's unlikely you will find a serviceable exact piece part replacement. I believe your best option is to replace the original with a stock portable plastic tank and modify the space where the original tank was installed to better fit the substitute. An alternative would be to have an aluminum fabricator make a new aluminum tank for you Dauntless. If you can locate an engineering drawing for the fabricators use that should reduce cost. I would check with Boston Whaler to find the drawing.

Like Butch says, your best bet is to remove the existing under-floor tank and have a metal fabricator use the existing as a template to replicate it.
