Nauset 16 Railing T-fitting Replacement

On a NAUSET 16 does the whole railing need to be removed in order to install new parts like T-fittings?

BACKSTORY: I recently ordered the clamshell style replacement [T-fittings for the railings on a NAUSET 16]. The [NAUSET 16] boat is at my cottage, and I’m at home; I don’t have access to the boat at the moment. I want to know what I’m getting into so I bring the right tools.
