We're restoring a 1967 16' Whaler hull. We're thinking that we'll install a bench cooler seat behind the console and install a fiberglass console with room for the gas tank and battery and a built-in seat on the front of the console. Does that seem like a smart approach?

We've found someone with a console that would work, but it's 28" wide and it looks like the original console was about 33" wide. We're thinking that a 33" wide console would give us room to seat two on the seat in front. Does anyone know of source for a fiberglass console that is about 33" wide, seat in front and with room for the gas tank and battery?
