Hello. I am a new member of the Boston Whaler family. I am the proud owner of a Menemsha.

She is rough looking but has a solid hull and a good engine. I began removing a couple of layers of pealing paint and will be replacing the woodwork over the long cold and dark Massachusetts winter.

She is missing the windshield. I will probably make a replacement as I think finding an original might be impossible.

I am interested in any advice as I begin this project.

I plan on installing a bimini and would like to have a canvas enclosure sewn also.

My research tells me that a "Navy" cover was an option. I( would like to have something similar, but with more headroom aft

Any advice or leads are greatly appreciated.

I am very, very excited about adventuring in this great little boat.

What is the purpose of the laundry basket? I assume it is a temporary propeller guard to protect boats moored nearby but it appears the skeg remains exposed.

Boats were banging into each other while moored so the harbor master ordered that all props be covered.

I am starting a Menemsha rebuild also.

1969 Hull.

I rebuilt and repowered a 1985 Montauk in 2021. I kept it pretty original with a few modifications.
The Menemsha I want to convert to a Radon Style boat. I have attached links for the before and after looks.
