BACKSTORY: In 2019 I purchased a used 1986 Super Sport 17 that was customized with a center console. The center console is too low to permit the helmsman to stand while steering the boat. I plan to replace the center console. I plan to repaint the interior. I plan to remove all wood. I plant to add new seating similar to a 1986 MONTAUK 17.

The hull of a 1986 SUPER SPORT 17 is probably the same hull as a 1986 MONTAUK 17. I don't recall any other 17-foot hull in that epoch.

If you want to convert a modified 1986 SUPER SPORT 17 to be more like a MONTAUK 17, replace the center console with the center console from a MONTAUK 17, and replace the seating with the Reversible Pilot Seat from a MONTAUK 17.

Finding a Boston Whaler center console as used in the MONTAUK 17 may be difficult.

Creating a Reversible Pilot Seat from parts will be expensive.
