I am considering a used 2019 Mercury 3.4-liter 200-HP with 1,000-hours to repower my OUTRAGE boat. The engine would be delivered with just the engine, a propeller, and I believe the ram for hydraulic steering. I know I need the DTS controls which are close to $1,000.
Outside of steering, what other rigging needs to be purchased?
What wiring harness, keyswitch, Smartcraft gauges need to be purchased?
Do I need to purchase a Smartcraft connector?
Is the Smartcraft connector just for interfacing your electronics?
The engine is cheap at $7,750 but I think I am looking at over $10,000 to piece it together.

Re: 2019 Mercury 200-HP Instrumentation, Rigging Options
If you plan to install and rig the 2019 Mercury engine yourself, you should obtain the Mercury literature provided to their dealers that gives advice on installation. I don't know of a source for that literature. Mercury seems to keep access to their dealer-level instruction literature rather limited. I'd look for a local Mercury engine dealer and negotiate with him for help, perhaps with an offer to buy the rigging components from him.
