Diluted vinegar for hull water spots

1998 outrage II 17ft. Was wondering opinions on using a 3 to 1 mixture of vinegar to water in spraying down hull to reduce water spotting. Is there a chance this could harm wax or ceramic coatings? I've read where some believe this can remove wax on hull but if deluted ,should not be a problem. Thanks.
