1984 Boston Whaler Outrage 22 Project Details

- 100% all new wiring (with the exception of the Yamaha rigging)
- New fuse panel, busses and circuit breaker
- New switches
- New under gunwale lighting
- New fore and aft spreader lights
- New electric horn mounted on T-Top
- New Garmin chartplotter / fish finder
- New dual USB outlet in console
- Moved batteries to console (remained within Yamaha’s spec for cable length extension)
- Battery switches in console are accessible via the slidings doors under the helm
- All new console interior (custom shelf, drawer on slides, battery box) fabricated with marrante marine grade plywood and starboard.
- Slide out drawer is now on a stainless steel drawer slide. It is held closed by dual 10 lb latches.
- Custom starboard switch and gauge panel
- Fabricated new teak frames and sealed with Semco. I fastened the frames from the inside of the console so as not to have exposed fasteners.
- Original and varnished teak doors were stripped and sealed with Semco
- New aluminum door slides with felt runner liners
- Removable rubber matting was added to the floor of console
- New door latches make the doors easier to open and close, and hold tighter than the previous ones.
- Moved VHF and ignition, and added starboard trim plate to console face. Ignition is now better situated for attaching lanyard to captain (new law requires this).
- Removed audio system (head unit and speakers) in favor of a portable bluetooth device
- Turned bottom tilt-out bin unit into a tilt-out door. Inside the console I added a separator for this space. This will be used for house tools, spare parts and fuel additives.
- Rigging tunnel pass through fabricated with rubber sheeting
- New lower unit bearings and seals
- New water pumps
- Engine oil and lower unit oil change
- Intakes cleaned
- Injectors cleaned
- New spark plugs
- New oil filters
- New fuel water separators
- New T-Top canvas
- New fuel lines
- Swim platform
- Gunwales had hardware and rub rail removed. Teak was cleaned and sealed with Semco
- New bilge pump in the bow compartment (drains into rope locker)
- Fuel filter and rigging tunnel fabricated with starboard
- Ring buoy and ring buoy mount
