190 NANTUCKET: Gunwale Cap Adhesive

Postby Lex98us86 » Sat Jan 14, 2023 6:26 pm

Give me recommendations for a product to use as the gunwale cap adhesive for a 190 Nantucket.

How much adhesive will be needed to do both sides?

At the time of production, Boston Whaler used IPS adhesive.
see https://continuouswave.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=7229

Later years it was described as:

Item #34 Adhesive, Weld-on SS230HVA Component A
Item #35 Adhesive, Weld-on SS218HV Component B

As shown on this parts breakdown:

If it were me, I would contact Justin or Jason at the Nauset Marine Parts Department, and have them send you two tubes--just in case. Telephone 508-255-0777. You can also email them at parts@nausetmarine.com
