Q1: is a wood locating diagram available for a 1993 21 WALKAROUND?
I contacted Boston Whaler to see if they could provide confirmation that my 1993 21 WALKAROUND has embedded reinforcement in the bow, but they were unable to find the wood locating diagram.
BACKSTORY
I recently purchased a xi5 36-Volt 72-inch-shaft 105-lbs-thrust electric trolling motor to mount on my 1993 21 Walkaround. I’m unable to get past the anchor locker to mount it with through-bolts up towards the rub rail on the bow.
I ordered a bracket from ShuttleSlide that should allow me to through-bolt the trolling motor bracket above the anchor locker, then slide the trolling motor up into the appropriate location.
That said, I’ve been reading the forums about whaleboard or phenolic material reinforcement that can be drilled and tapped for machine screw fasteners to mount a trolling motor If possible, I’d rather install the trolling motor this way to declutter the bow, as the shuttle slide bracket and adapter-extension will be relatively large compared to only using the Motorguide quick release bracket.
