Replace wood at console bottom

Two glassed-in boards used to secure a console to a deck [of an unidentified year, length, and model of a what may be a Boston Whaler boat] need replacing.
I'd prefer not to [replace the glassed-in boards] with new glassed-in boards. I may [repair the console by] gluing-in PVC boards instead; the boards aren't seen.
Also, I would like to replace the “false floor.” The “false floor” appears to be made with 1/2-inch plywood. I plan to replace the “false floor” with 3/4-inch plwood or with COOSA BOARD. 1/2 ply came out but thinking 3/4 marine may be better, or perhaps something like Coosa board?
Also, I may use longer aluminum L-brackets.
[Unstated but inferred request (from use of a question mark at the end of several declarative statements): give comments on all aspects of the planned repairs.]
