Q1: for a 1982 MONTAUK 17, what is original location of the center console as measured from the aft end of the bow anchor locker to the forward end of the center console (as seen in Figure 1)?



BACKSTORY
My father and I have restored a 1982 MONTAUK 17, but I believe we have located the center console too far forward. The distance between the forward part of the center console and the aft end of the bow locker is now only 28.5-inches. The distance from the stern to the seat frame is 59-inches.

I measure 31-inches from the vertical face of the anchor locker to the console on my 1987 MONTAUK 17. There is plenty of room for the cooler and I am using a much larger cooler than the original.
