I want to recommend Advance Coating Company for their color-matched gel coat.

I see the Spectrum Patch Paste kits recommended on forums fairly frequently, and I have used them in the past, but they've increased in price up to $57 in recent years, with a quart of gel coat from them costing $230.

After searching for an alternative source, I found one recommendation for Advance Coatings. I gave them a call. I ended buying a quart of Desert Tan colored gel coat ($85 shipped). Shipping took about a week, and MEKP catalyst was included.

The gel coat resin was a perfect match for my specific 1994 Outrage 17 hull, and getting a whole quart for just a bit more than a tiny patch kit is a win in my book.

The Advance Coating Company gel coat does come pre-waxed. That means if you want to do a multiple-layer build-up. you should use an un-waxed gel coat from TotalBoat or something similar for the underlying layer build up.

I used the Advance Coating Company to make repairs on the hull from keel rash and trailer dings.

I agree with the favorable cost comparison of one-quart of resin compared to a small bottle of resin paste.
