2022 Gulf of Mexico Trip

Postby Hoosier » Mon Oct 04, 2021 4:16 pm

How about a 2022 short field trip to Pensacola and then going out to the USS Oriskany Reef, the world's largest artificial reef? It's only 20 miles south of Pensacola and is in US waters. Plus it's in 220 feet of water so our recreational sonars can "see" it. Here's more info:

We would be tempted but, alas, we've sold our 190 Montauk. I doubt or 1981 Sport 13 would be a very good vehicle for a visit to the Oriskany.

Will you be staying in the P'cola area this season?

We’ll be in Weeks Bay for about five weeks Feb-April next year. 20 + miles offshore isn’t that far, but company is always welcome.
