SIMRAD "Go With Confidence" Rebates on NSS Series

Postby jimh » Wed Jan 20, 2016 1:22 pm

SIMRAD have announced the "Go with Confidence Sale Event", a factory-sponsored rebate program that covers purchases made between January 20, 2016 (today) until April 18, 2016. The rebate offer is for a free Simrad RS12 radio or a VISA reward card or a combination of both, with the amount of credit on the card varying with the Simrad product. The following products are eligible and the details of their rebates are as follows:

--NSS16 evo² gets a free RS12 radio and $300 reward card;

--NSS12 evo² gets a free RS12 radio and $200 reward card;

--NSS9 evo² gets a free RS12 radio and $150 reward card;

--NSS7 evo² does not include a radio but gets a $200 reward card.

The RS12 radio is the base model in Simrad's line of VHF Marine Band DSC radios and retails for about $200. For smaller recreational boats, the offer of a free radio may not be as enticing, as most boaters generally already have one VHF Marine Band radio. This seems to correlate well with the rebate on the smaller NSS7 chart plotter; it omits the radio entirely in its rebate offer and instead provides more credit on the reward card.

With the NSS 16 evo² selling at about $5,000, a $200 radio and a $300 reward card amount to $500 or ten-percent of the retail price. At the lower end, the NSS 7 evo² retails for about $1,200, and a $200 reward card amounts to about 17-percent of the retail price.

The NSS9 evo² retail price was previously reduced by $500 in November 2015 to $1,999. The radio and reward card rebate value of $350 suggests the NSS9 evo² price has now been reduced by $850 in the last two months.

Details of the offer can be found on the rebate offer submission card available on-line.
