Three tall lighthouse structures form the two ranges of the Bustard Island Rocks. One range leads you inbound from the open waters of Georgian Bay which lie just beyond, while the other guides you down the main channel of the French River's outlet, from where this photograph was taken.
After clearing the rocks and their offshore sea bouy, we had just enough breeze and pointing ability to sail close-hauled and westward along the northern shore of Lake Huron/Georgian Bay, until we reached Beaverstone Bay.
