I own a Dauntless 15 and have a Mills boat cover. This cover is designed for highway travel and hence it has an opening for the motor to be tilted up. The problem is I store my boat under some trees and get all sorts of debris in the stern area. Occassionaly, I get neighborhood cats passing through this opening and they snooze on the cushioned seat too. And they can leave a mess. My question, is there a motor cover canvas with a flap that fills in this opening available somewhere? Thanks for your insight in advance.

Your best bet would be to find a local canvas shop that could custom make a motor cover and add snaps to attach the two togeather.

I just ordered a cover from Mills and asked about a motor cover. They have a few they make but not too many. Call Leslie at mills to see if the have yours. I know they didnít have an Evinrude but I think they make a Merc cover. As for the cat try a few Moth Balls. Cats hate them and so do other animals

Hi folks, ready for a real zinger about covers... I recently got a pre 72' 16 footer and have covered it with a good grade tarp. My older 13 ft skiff was to be picke dup yesterday so I went out to pull the cover off. I should mention that I'm in a really rural and dooded area. After fiddling with tthe tie-downs, I flopped the cover off and was face to face with a 3 ft black snake that had picked the boat which was warm due to the sun on the cover. I helped him out of the boat with a rake and he headed back for the woods. Now I will have to check my Whaler everywhere to see if it's got uninvited guests..... Could be worse, we do have copperheads in this neck of the woods....Moral of the story is to check your boats from time to time if they are covered.
