I am almost afraid to ask but what is the scoop on winter storage of my 1985 25' Revenge WT on an aluminum float-on trailer. It has one 225hp Johnson and minimal fuel on board. There is no center keel support except near the bow. It has two long carpeted bunks that fit well to the hull much of the length of the boat. Will this hull be damaged over several years of this type of storage or am I safe? Ray

I wouldn't worry about winter storage with that setup (and probably not worry about "light distance" trailering in the summer).

Ray, in the "Show topics from" go to last 30 days, there is a posting from 12-17 that should answer some of your questions. Outraged

Don and Outraged,
Thanks for the replies. Noticed that you are both Michigan whaler folks.. I live at Caledonia near Grand Rapids and dock at S. Haven. Don, I sold my 1973 21' Outrage (Shamu) a year ago after owning her 23 years. Awsome boat. I saw yours on cetecetia and it sort of makes me homesick. Ray

Interesting. My 21 came from the third owner who lives in GR!

He bought it from someone who had it up in the UP.The first owner came from around Cincinnatti, OH.

What ever happend to it?

My 21' Outrage went to ST. Mary's College in St. Mary's MD and is now at their bio. research station in upstate NY counting birds. It left here summer of 98. A big tear on my cheek as it went down the road. 23 years is a long time as we used it lots and lots on all the great lakes except Ontario and all 3 of our kids were almost born on it. Ray

I'm from Battle Creek and put Outre' in at the Black River launch at South Haven all the time - I'll miss seeing SHAMU; I noticed her every time I went out to the big lake.

We see you a lot at S. Haven. Shamu is not 25' long and in the same slip just upstream of the drawbridge on the downtown side of the river. She has big 20" letters that also says SHAMU.

You know, I think that's the SHAMU I'm used to seeing - must have had a senior moment and missed the change in size!

I'll keep my eyes peeled for life around there next summer, and stop to say hi if I see you - holler at me when I go by if I don't notice you.

Do you know anything about the 27' Cuddy, "Dolphin Rider" that was hanging around S.H. last summer??

Don't know anything about the 27' cuddy other than it is beautiful and looks awfully expensive and I would love to take her out for a ride. wouldn't you????
By the way the police boat (the 25' Revenge WT like mine was suppose to sold last year and I was the first on the list but they keep hanging on to her. My wife said no anyway as she thinks its very ugly with the hard top. Ray
