Interesting tidbit:

Right after I bought my boat last summer, I noticed that every time I would flush the motor (in a 55g trashcan) , oil would drain out one of the overflows. It would drip out for a couple of days. I ask about this here and I belive it was LHG who said it was probably the low speed carb adjustment was set too rich. When I had the motor in for service, the OMC mechanic mentioned that the carb was too rich and made an adjustment. He said the oil should clear up in a couple of tanks. Well it never did.
I had always ran exxon oil but this weekend switched to pennzoil. Just flushed the motor after the first 6 gallons of Pennzoil and noticed not one single drip of oil in the overflow. I would not think there would be that much difference in oil blends to make such a big change. Now I am wondering if the exxon oil is "overlubing" the engine or if the Pennzoil is "underlubing" it? Motor seemed to run just fine on the Pennzoil.
Which one should I stay with?
Thanks, Fletch
