ok, I just sold our beloved 13. I am looking for a 16/17fter with outboard and roadworthy trailer. Looking for a clean setup with a good running engine. I live on Long Island but can travel to pick up the "right" boat. Looking to spend 4500.00 or less. Im not a tire kicker, looking to buy now. Thanks, Rich..

I thought for sure you were headed to Ohio for Whalernut's Currituck.

There's one for sale on the whaler central's an older 16' hull that looks like it's in great shape...I've talked with the owner about the boat and he's put a ton of work into it and the engine...I'm surprised it hasn't sold yet...his name is whalernut and he's posted here probably could do a search on him to see what he was up to with the boat...

Good luck...

Have you searched I've seen some nice looking engines pass through that site...also, you might try posting what kind of outboard you are looking for here and some other sites...there's a lot of people looking to repower their boats this time of the year and are going to be giving their engines away to the dealers (who really don't want them anyway) in a you have any good working relationships with any outboard dealers in your area? Might be a good opportunity to start if you don't...I'd call them, or better yet, go in person, and tell them what you're looking for...they might be able to sell another engine knowing they'll be able to take in the engine you want...might be able to work in rigging too...

Good luck...
