I am looking at a used Montauk without a bow rail. I like the idea of a bow rail, since most of the boat's use will be in the ocean...Does anyone have a resource to buy a new or used bow rail (other than Whaler direct - pricey!) or know of someone who fabricates these kinds of things?

Thanks for your help!!!

Thanks for your reply - I appologize for my ignorance - I am a frequent visitor of this forum, but haven't had a reason to look in the OEM section yet... I found just what I was looking for in there!

I have just finished a rehab of a 30 year old bare hul into a Nauset. Found a nice originial bow rail, not the welded newer ones, here on the forum. Came from Texas at half the price of a new one. I looked at getting the fittings and 7/8" tube to make my own but that would have cost about $300 based on the fittings and tubing.
