I need to reaseal the bow towing/lifting eye on
my montauk. What would people recommend as the
approprate bedding compound? Anybody know what
the factory recommends?

Not knowing what the factory originally used, I wouldn't hesitate to use 3M 5200. Very durable and flexible. I don't think the bonding characteristics are an issue in this placement.

Do not use 3M 5200! You will never be able to remove it if necessary. Use 3M 4200 or Boat Life life calk.
