I am experiencing a lot of water in my below floor (55gaall) fuel tank. I believe it is coming from either the fuel gauage located on top of the tank or the inspection plate at the stern end of the tank(on top). Ido not smell any fuel leaking from the tank. I think this occurred when washing down the boat and getting a lot of water in the floor. Probably encouraged by running the engine with water in boat and therefore sucking water into the engine. Anyone had same experience? Also, what material should be used to seal the fuel gage and inspection plate? There is a gasket but I want to take no chances and want to put a sealing agent around these items before re-installing them.
